Rowena LeMunyan Attends 2007 Phillips Lifeline Academy

FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

Rowena LeMunyan, of Southside Community Hospital Home Care Services, was selected to attend the 2007 Phillips Lifeline Academy for her tremendous program accomplishments in 2006. She, for the second year in a row, was selected by Lifeline to attend the all-expenses paid trip to OneSource Academy on April 10th -17th in Boston, Massachusetts. There, she learned new skills and enhanced current skills. Last year, Rowena was the only attendee from the state of Virginia.

Southside Community Hospital, an affiliate of Centra Health, started a Lifeline program in 1985. In 2003, Rowena became the Lifeline Outreach manager, starting with 63 subscribers. At the end of 2006, this area had 132 subscribers. Lifeline is the most secure personal medical alert emergency response service for seniors and caregivers, helping seniors and disabled live with greater freedom and safety.
